I'm Misty, and I started Classic Alison because I couldn't find clothes that fit me.
For years I went to work in suits and dresses that didn't fit: jackets too tight across the bust, dresses that rode up, and never quite feeling confident in what I was wearing. The fabrics I loved and the cuts I admired always seemed to stop just short of me. When I did find something in my size, it felt like an afterthought: scaled up from a smaller pattern, with the shape and the quality left behind.
I didn't believe women with curves should have to choose between fit and elegance. So I decided to design the collection I had been looking for: clothes for women who love beautiful design and fabric, made to fit them.
Every Classic Alison piece is cut for curves from the very first pattern, not graded up at the end. Tailored suits that define the waist and sit properly on the shoulder. Silk dresses that move with you. Loungewear that looks as good as it feels. All in UK sizes 10 to 30.
Our sister label, House of Alia, brings the same curve-first cut to cotton, jersey and knits, for the pieces you'll reach for every day.
What began as my search for one perfect blazer has become a collection made for real women, from the city to the country. We're building it online first, with our first shop to follow.
